Best place to vacation in new england?

my family is planning a vacation this summer and we also want to rent a vacation home for like 2 weeks (sort of like MA,CT,NH etc...). We want a place that has great beaches( clear water), malls and stores nearby and other fun things to do. Can someone please tell me the state and city that has all of this or most of this?

In Connecticut I would say Old Saybrook, Easy Lyme, Old lyme, Mystic, Madison and West brook area
They are all by the long Island Sound. I would suggest to fine a cottage on the beach
You have the casinos for the adults
You have Mystic seaport and aquarium
They have really cute shops and restaurants
You have Six Flags and Lake compounds amusement parks you can go to
You can go to Boston or New york for the day
You can go to New port, RI for the day
There are a lot of family things to do in that area

Massachusetts
I never really like the cape, not my favorite place
I like Plymouth a lot
Boston is a lot of fun
You also have to beach

You also have the mountains
Berkshires could be a lot of fun
You have hiking, bike riding, swimming, whitewater rafting, fishing golfing
They have a good musical line up
Shopping is very good there

Hampshire
The ocean will be Hampton Beach, NH
You can still do day trips to Boston and the berkshire
You can go to maine to the outlets

White mountains has a lot to do for families
They have a lot of shops and fresh water lake
Lake Winnipesaukee, I have a friend that goes there every summer since she was a child
She takes her children their. She loves that area of NH

Vermont
Manchester, Vt or lake Catherine, that is close to Manchester
They have very good shops and a lot of the ski areas have summer stuff that children like
Your are a day trip to Lake George, NY and it's amusement park
You are a day to to Lake Champlain
A day trip to fort Ticonderoga, Ny

Lake Champlain
There is a lot to do there
Very pretty lake

Maine
I love the cost line of Maine
Freeport is very pretty
Boothbay Harbor Maine is very nice
Acadia National Park, is very cool
It's very close to Bar Harbor Maine, that is very nice
